After having breakfast we packed our things into our rented Alfa Romeo and headed to Monreale, an impressive church fully decorated with mosaics telling several stories of the old and the New Testament.
After that we drove to the ruins of Segesta. What we really liked there is that it is in the middle of nowhere surrounded by beautiful landscapes.
In the afternoon we reached Erice, a really old village in the mountains next to the sea. The streets made out of stone and the old buildings up the mountain made it a picturesque and romantic place – watching the sunset over the sea in the horizon.
We drove down the streets towards Trapani where we enjoyed our really nice hotel and got to know a bit of the Sicilian nightlife. Ooh yes, and we also had our most delicious ice cream in our life.
