After the really dry and dirty days as well as cold nights, we just wanted to have a long hot shower and then relax. We also bought the bus tickets for our trip to Potosi. Unlike in other South American countries, punctuality in Bolivia is not existent. They almost always leave late, at least in our experience. So we turned up on time and the receptionist of the company just told us that their bus won’t leave, but that we can use the ticket with the company just next to their office. So we went there and they confirmed our departure. There we were waiting for the arrival of our bus… 9.30, nothing, 9.45 nothing, 10.00 nothing…

A while after 10 it finally arrived, a chicken bus. So we put our bags on the top of the bus and off we went. First stop, gas station 🙂 In the end a very scenic journey started, driving up the mountains as we had to reach the altitude of Potosi (aprox. 4000 meters). At the beginning the sounds of the bus were a bit scary as the tires didn’t seem to be in a good condition, but after a while we got used to that sound and vibration of the bus 😉 In the end it was a nice bus ride with amazing views of mountains, llamas, vicunas etc…
